Manchester united vs Chelsea

The big game day is here. Manchester united battles Chelsea in the British premier league. Chelsea which is 8 points ahead of Manchester united in the league standing will be hoping to further widen this gap to guarantee its chances of lifting the cup. Manchester on the other hand are also looking to edge closer to Chelsea by picking three points in today's match.
The match takes place in Stamford bridge.

Gunners Beaten 3-1 By Monaco

Arsenal went down 3 goals to one  to Monaco in grueling round of 16 Champions league match. The gunners were humiliated in front of their fans at the Emirates stadium. Monaco Goals were scored by Kondogbia in the 38th minute, Berbatov in the 53rd minute and Ferreira in the 90th minute. Arsenal's lone goal was put in the net by Oxlade Chamberlain in the 90th  minute. It is ironic that Wenger had predicted that the match would be 50-50 but as it turned out the gunners were thrashed
mercilessly.

Man City Go down 2-1 to Barcelona

10 man Manchester went down 2-1 to Barcelona right in front of their home crowd. In this the 100 match in a tournament that has seen 285 goals the champions league round of 16 was a grueling 90 minutes that saw Barca controlling most of the action packed game. The trio of Messi Suarez and Neymar was too much for Aguero and Nazri. Man city's Yaya Toure did not play as he was under a one match suspension. Suarez opened the goal scoring at the 16th minute and exactly 14 minutes later at the 30th minute scored another goal in a well planned Barca attack that the Man city defence could not hold.At the dying minutes of the first half City tried to pull one back but Barca kept pulling a counter forcing City's defense to fall back.
Consolation for Man city came on the 69th minute with a goal from Sergio Aguero. Gael Clichy was sent of on the 74th minute after a second yellow card. Lionel Messi did not find goal after missing a spot kick on the 94th minute.

Southampton Go Down 2-0 To Everton

The saints could not measure up to Liverpool yesterday. They went down 2- 0 in a very fast paced match full of controversy of handballs that Southampton could clearly say that the referee was unfair to them. With yesterday's results that puts Southampton on 5th place from a possible 3rd if they had won the match. Chelsea top the table with 60 points followed by Man city with 55 points. Arsenal are third with 48 points and  Manchester United and Southampton close the top five with 47 and 46 points respectively
